awesome dinner

Last night, I had an awesome dinner, with many many kinds of seafood.

We ordered LOBSTER!!, siham, MANTIS PRAWN!!!, fish, and also the bamboo clam. Hehe, pardon the excitement, this is my first time having lobster. And it's cooked with none other than cheese!

omgosh it's soooo good, foodgasm. haha...

Siham or cockles was cooked in a simple way. It was just steamed or boiled then we crack open the shells on our own. First time eating cockles like that though.. I usually see them only in char koay teow, and dont eat them. It's bloody wtf, but quite sweet. Well, easier to swallow than raw oyster. Haha... I am noob. Surprisingly, I accepted the taste quite well. Despite the blood or red juice (live with it), it's rather... sweet.

Fish was steamed (this i know for sure!) haha. Taste quite nice, but I have no idea what kind of fish is that though...

Mantis prawn or 'lai liu ha' or 'har gu' or 'hae gor' was giant! Biggest mantis prawn I had ever eaten! Cooked with salted egg which is my other love, so the dish is just... heavenly. Difficult to explain but yeah... heavenly.

Ohhh, Bamboo clam was giant too. I never really had bamboo clams, and the ones I had before was like a mini baby clam. This, was giant bamboo clam compared to what I had before. Each of us was served in individual plates, one clam per person. It was topped with lots of garlic and had a mouthful of 'tung fun' together with the clam.

What else did we have? hmmm... Haha, have to keep referring to the picture to remember what we ordered.

Oh, vegetable. Kailan. nahhh, I shall pass. haha...

Last but not least, LOBSTER!!! The star of the day. Lobster was cooked with cheesy, omg Cheesy Lobster from heaven!! ahhhh.... How do you explain love? Difficult, and this is the same. Haha. Just awesome!! So awesome I got no words to desbribe.

And because I'm lazy, here is a combined picture of all the food we had. Thanks for the dinner! :) What did I do in my past life to deserve all this?! I'm a lucky spoilt girl...

And then, after dinner, it was still early, so we ALL headed to reflexology! OMG is this life or what? Am I dreaming? If yes, I dont want to wake up. :)

This is proper reflexology, unlike the one I went the night before. Utterly crap. Waste of money.
Anyway, the best weekend ever. Wake up, shopping and actually bought something, awesome dinner, and end with a relaxing foot reflexology. Oh, after that, went to get some dessert also!

So. Much. Love. xD

Sorry, you have to see my fat legs. LOL. Sorry to hurt your eyes like that, after all the awesome food pictures haha.

I am back!!

Hello all (dont think there's a "all" here, its only hello me, but "all" sounds nicer and less antisocial), its been quite a few months since I'm here. Looked back and saw that the last post was in January! And now it's nearing July!! *gasp* I didn't realise it has been THAT long zomgosh!! I have so much to blogged about (err, not actually) but I cant find time (due to procrastination) and also i have no life in the past few months. i have no more friends to go out with. *sobs*

I am actually very, very free, considering that I am only attending one class this semester. So, im pretty free for the rest of the week. But, being a professional procrastinator, i dont work at normal times (it's 4am and im writing this, i cant sleep), and i was on my last few months (weeks actually) of my thesis. super last minute person like me and a very important thesis don't go well together if you want to know. its like a recipe for disaster.

i was supposed to finish collecting data like monthssssss before, but i only did it like weeks before. urghh, bad, bad memories that i dont want to remember. also, there are some issues that arise regarding thesis and that got me stressed out for a couple of days nearing submission. and being stressed out means i will further delay my already-delayed work. which means more and more last minute work. urghh, seriously bad memories that shouldnt be remembered. there are more important things for my brain to keep. shoo shoo... go away, i dont want to see you anymore.

at the same time, i was having a part time job too. actually its a full time job wtf. how is it considered part time when i work full office hours? its something that i dont understand. but oh well, every minute is money so im not complaining. ok i sound like some ungrateful brat here... but they have yet to pay me and its been like what.. one month? what did i gain from this work experience? do not ever, ever again think that you're so free because you have only one day class per week when you have thesis on the line at the same time. no. never ever again. but then again, i will never ever be doing thesis again so no problem with that. xD

And ladies and gentleman, this, is going to be ONE LONG @$$ post.

I've like loaded pictures from my Facebook, because that is like my new online diary (lol!) or else I cannot remember what the hell happened for the past 6 long months. The pictures are all taken from my phone or screencapped. So, yeah... the quality sucks because I am too  cheapskate to get a phone with better picture quality. I've even stop using my digital camera and the DSLR too. I suck, I know. Waaalaoooehh, intro only also can be so long already. Wish I write like this fast when doing assignments.

Lets just summarize what happened in the past few months with the help of these pictures. May not be in order...

Macaroons all the way back in... February I guess. Friend's bf went to France and brought back these lovely macaroons. And the one thing good about being a lamp post is that... I get to enjoy these too!! xD Ok ok, im not that excited about being a #foreveralone. lol.

Another friend's Diana F+! I have recently (actually been a while now) discovered analogue and film camera, so yeah, my friend offered to loan me her baby diana. it's special edition somemore you must have trusted me alot! the camera comes with a pack of film and also a diana f+ bible on the shots that has been taken in the past. you can see some really awesome photos taken by lomographers. good starting point and inspiration for the new comers in lomography.
i've got to say this. Diana is quite difficult for beginners. need time to understand and master the camera or else the pictures will turn out shitty. which happens to my film. not proud.

celebrated birthday in JUNE! together with my brother who is born in the same month. thought of making this celebration abit more special than the previous ones, so we went on a cake hunt, to find the purrrrfect cake for the birthdays. went out to try this particular cake from whisk which has countless awesome reviews, didnt like it. i hated the (quite strong) smell of rose. other than that, the cake was just ok.

had another cake too, the chocolate cake, cannot remember what its called. also not very happy with that, maybe my expectations were too high. the only thing is, the choc cake is not so sweet like normal shops. which is good. but nah, not my liking.

PS: I'm just stating my own opinion here. So many fans will come and bash me for this.

March 18! We, the GFC chawers celebrated the clubs anniversary with the man himself, Cao Ge! its a pool bbq party at his residence, hehe.. so awesome like zomgoshbbq wtf. didnt get into the water because (1) i cant swim and might drown, (2) did the chinese massage cupping thingy few days back and the marks are still VERY visible, (3) i might drown wtf!

thats the group photo right there.

tried to cook porridge few weeks ago (about 1 month ago?) and it almost turned to rice and could feed like the whole army. as you can see in the picture, carrot shredding #fail to the max.

worked part time in march and these are some of the awesome people in the office. super love this picture got feel ah... working part time may be the worse decision i have ever made this semester. there is a valid reason as to why the department do not allow me to have internship together with my thesis and im just being the rebellious me.

screw up the thesis. fml i just hope i pass.

someone in the neighbourhood is missing a parrot. its green and its a he. i find it quite amusing to see people look for parrot like that, but as a pet owner, the heart ache when you lose a pet.. its like losing your own child.

i hope she found him already.

Wasted my time and waited for wuchun to come and i left. waited few hours just to see a once-extreme-big star in person. oh well, saw and left to pasar malam.

i have no idea what magazine is this and i buy just because of .. nope, not lee hom, but for those 3 awesome inspiring filmmakers in the bottom part there. too bad i cant catch them in kl. sighs. #WF4lyfe!

was browing through test units in samsung centre and i stumble upon this! someone forgot to log out his facebook account! so i decided to update a status (manatau if the owner din realise and then someone evil hack their fb?) and looked at other units and models and came back to check the fb again. this time the owner of the fb replied with a new status.

sorry, i tried to log out but i just dont know how. went back the next day to check also and its still there. tried to log out again but i just cant seem to find the logout thing. even brought my samsung smartphone user friend who cant find the button too. oh well, we tried.

spotted this cafe in Ipoh. note the name. Jeremy Lin, when did you open a cafe in Ipoh ha? the shop was closed (maybe cause its at night) so din get to see how it was decorated inside.

very sad, car has scars. :'(

this is back in february 18 in muar. drove all the way there just to attend this charity concert. thanks for the ticket upgrade hehe... first time holding about rm3000 worth of tickets in my hands... so stress wtf.

it's a sticky! i won a sticky! first time winning a lucky draw wtf in my torturous high heels that almost killed my feet too. i ended up with TWO bottles of sticky which i still have now. unopened.

this girl.. been ages since i met her and her bestie bumped into me in the most random place possible. turns out she is leaving to further studies the very next week. so i am so so so lucky to have met you in neway missy!! was super random on how we 'bumped' into each other. hehe. like so #fated!

the end.

PS: if you have read till the end, thank you! you must be very free. sorry for all the spelling and grammar mistakes. this is what lazy people is like. kthnxbai.

I'm at Muar, Johor.

This is a scheduled post. IF you're reading this it means that well, I AM HAVING MY DREADFUL EXAMS T_____T or it could also mean that I am done with exams.... LOL

and....

If you saw my post a few weeks ago, you would have known I WENT TO MUAR FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME!!! :)

It was a last-minute-one-day trip down south. Never been to Johor before in the 22 years of my life. The furthest I went was to Melaka. hehe... Well, the trip wasn't totally random as well... Had been told last minute that "my exception" is going to be there, so decided to 'crash the party'. That's for another post.

xD

Well, that morning was feeling zombified because we slept very very late and forced ourselves to wake up super early in the morning. Need to wake up early and rush there for lunch because we'll be there only for a few hours and it's a bit stupid to drive so far and not taste the local food there right? Ohhh btw, by early, we meant leave KL at 11something. ^_^

So yeah, after 2 hours plus journey, we finally arrived at the legendary town Muar (No offense, but everytime I say the word Muar, my mind goes Muarhahahaha... hope I don't blurt it out xD)

Armed with the one and only 50mm lens, I braved my way through Muar town... Chewah, sound so yeng like that.

Went back to my friend's house first to leave out stuff there. You'll never believe how much stuff we brought there although it's just a one-day trip. Maybe I should learn to pack light hehehe...

On the way there, we saw...

The quite pack town, maybe it's a weekend that's why.

A church on my left...

And, is this the oldest hotel in town?
If it is, it should be owned by a wealthy taukeh back in those days. See, the hotel so big, should be one of the biggest around already. But right now, there's an even bigger and newer one right opposite this old hotel. I'm guessing it's rotting and waiting for time to pass...

I only posted up this picture because... because...
Because the sky looks so nice~

I forgot to upload a picture of my friend's house. I think better not to protect her identity.Bwahaha.... Went for lunch later at a very busy looking area. Muar's wai sek kai. xD

On the way~~ Wahh look at the dent in his car. Ok, totally random and not expecting it. As you can see, Muar is actually filled with rows and rows and rows of shops.

Pedestrian Bridge in Muar.
Why I upload? I don't know xD

See, there's like a million shops omg.
Everyone is a business man/woman there.

Colourful building. You know why isit half blue and half pink?
Nope, it's not confused of its own gender, but my friend told me that back in those days (or is it just a few years ago? I don't know) when someone has the say, they decided to paint every street with different colour.

So, if Street A is blue, then the buildings in Street A shall be blue and only blue.
And this is a corner shop, so it lies in between the blue and the pink territory.
Thus, the half blue and half pink colour.

But, quite nice also what.....

Wetex Parade. The one and only shopping mall in Muar.
Correct me if I'm wrong pls.
I've only been there for less than 6 hours, can't expect me to know much do you?

This is also the place where "My Exception" will be at... *awwwwwww*

Ok ok, sorry, now I shall go and talk about food. Didn't get to eat as much as I had expected because (1) i was so hungry that i wasnt hungry anymore (2) i just had a abit less than 3 hour car ride ending with a very 'unstraight' road. (3) i was too tired to eat wtf

Ok, without further a due, let me introduce to you... *jeng jeng jeng*
(dammit I am drooling writing this wtf)

Char Siew, Siu Yok, Lap Cheong Fan
The stall is damn kua cheong 1 ok.. Had so much pork it could feed an entire village for lunch and dinner i tell you. Apparently its a norm for the stall to prepare so much for weekend because its a weekend *duh*

Not really used to eating lap cheong. a bit weird weird taste.
the rice was... ok, nothing to shout about.
or, it could be me and my damaged tastebuds because of the early morning call and also the long journey. everything is so rushed that... eat also no peace wtf.

My friend's wan tan mee.
Looks good, should taste good because she's a local and she ordered it! :)

Haha, for a more complete food review, pls come back to this blog in the future yeah. Will be planning a trip there again, and eat more stuff. And i'll make sure i'm not too grumpy to eat and also i wake my tastebuds up before eating anything ok. :)

And oh yahhhh, how could anyone, any living-breathing person go to MUAR and NOT eat their famous Otak? Not brain, but fish stuff.

Muar's Otak-Otak.
OMGI AM FINALLY HERE ~.~
Alright, I confess, I wasnt a fan of Otak. Tastes weird and its spicy, not the kind of spiciness that i like. my mum likes otak tho.

I had like 2 of this and had to stop eating cause i found fish bone is both of the otak i ate. like seriously i dont know why fish bones like me. my friend had FOUR of those thing and saw/taste/ate no fish bone at all.
and like i said, my taste buds was still sleeping so..... I'll leave the food talk till next time muahahahhaha...

Ok totally random laugh, but it's 3.30 am now and I have a few more scheduled post to write. Sigh, I should just go and sleep then. Tomorrow I START STUDY!

Ohya, written at 28Nov2011, 3.30am LOL
So the tomorrow above is 28NOV, when i wake up from slumber. *yawns*

I ask you.....

Have you ever seen.....

 TV antenna THIS tall?

Seriously this is the first time ever in my whole entire life I've seen the antenna thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis long omg am i dreaming or what.

Where did Tze went on Sunday?

Hehehe, guess and seeeee......

Had a sudden plan on Saturday night to go down to Muar, Johor for 1 day trip on Sunday. My first time ever in Muar. And of course, I went because Gary was there.

Started the journey at 11am only, and told the other car that we will be leaving at 9am something. Hehe, still in bed at that time LOL.

Actually, I still do not believe that I actually drove down to Muar just to see Cao Ge. OMG!! In the midst of assignments dateline some more. Seriously, if you think I'm crazy, I think I am too. He is my exception.

First time ever in Muar!! Took alot of pictures, will blog about it next time, busy 2 weeks ahead. Sigh...
Pssst... I finally pierced my ears too in Muar... xD

Nuffnang + Churp2 @ Chatime Publika

Last Saturday, I got invited to the first ever Nuffnang and Churp Churp "mingling session" together. It's also my first time ever to attend any Nuffnang events. I am a member of both, and I didn't know that Churpers also went. Lucky I went to find the place before the actual day, if not gg.com already... It's not listed in Google maps, and even my GPS also cannot help me lol.

And this is my first ever Nuffnang event that I went... *Wahlao... very scary lor, somemore i anti-social...* I thought things would change when I am there... But nope, I end up more terrified of the people there than before I got there LOL. *failed kao kao at trying to be more social*

The event was held at Eat Food Village *interesting name for food court*. Very nice and empty food court *because it's new*. There's like lots of famous yummy food there, got CHILI pan mee, got yam rice, got alot more other stuff that I cannot remember lah... For Muslim friends, the place is non-halal unless you're in mood for Penang food by Lorong Seratus Tahun.

Eat Food Village, Publika, Solaris Dutamas
Oh ya, we were allowed to bring guest also, so I brought Chloe along because I am THAT scared of strangers LOL. At first was thinking of going alone, venturing into a unfamiliar territory~ hmmph, I must be crazy when I thought of that.

Everyone was given RM20 worth of Publikash to spend on food and CHATIME!
Every one of us was given a cash voucher of rm20 that we could spend on food and drinks on that day itself. First thing we did was to queue up for Chatime. There was quite a long queue. See, see... For real it's free ok... :) Happy mood on for the whole day...

Didn't take much pictures during the whole thing... Well, actually I took but its in my friend's camera so,... forget it.

A gift from Publika.
Before everyone leaves, the nice people in Nuffnang (sorry didn't get the name) distributed a gift from Publika. :) The Nuffies even asked why didn't anyone saw us before. Hehe, first event mah~ So anti-social somemore...

Our large Chatime with additional stuffs.
We had so much money to spend that we tried to max out on the purchase. Had it large with extra toppings.. Thought of having lunch/dinner (lunchner) there since we had so much money left, but after downing the large Chatime we were filled already. So decided to just share food. And left like alot somemore, so i tapao-ed another Chatime *suicide move*

A group photo of all the people that attended. *stole from the earliest blogger*
So many faces, but I know no one there.
It's 3.49am, and I don't care anymore. Eyes are closing...

A day out with good-hearted-souls

Warning: This post will be full of pictures. The most pictures in my *insert years* of blogging.

Hold my hand and guide me.

Note:
The purpose of this post is not to show off, but is to spread the word. Hope to clarify first before anyone says I am showing off for no reason. Not that I have anything to show off also lah...
The pictures with no watermark is taken from Facebook.

Last weekend, me and some friends decided to join the kind-souls from Amoeba Team for a visit to children's home. Click on their Facebook link to know more about them. If you're lazy, then here is an introduction about them I copied from their Facebook.

Amoeba Team is a group of individuals standing on the same platform to learn through organizing a variety of events. Empowering young people and nurturing the new generation definitely entice positive culture thus contributing to the society.
Ok, enough introduction already. If you want to know more, just click on this link and have your questions answered.

The meet-up point was at an LRT station in PJ, but due to some unforseen circumstances (ie. Vernice's housemates was hogging the one and only bathroom in her house), so we were late and unable to meet up with the rest of the gang.

The location was at Rumah Hope, at Paramount Garden. Being a noob and in an unfamiliar territory, I got lost on my way there. Was not able to find the place, and GPS decided to not help me that day.Luckily, we stopped and asked a very confused uncle. Hehehe...

Me: *Stop the car and wave enthusiastically*
Uncle: *Gives a weird stare and probably freak out a little*
V: *tries to open the window and finally get out of the car* Hi, uncle! I would like to know where is Jalan xx/x... Do you know where isit?
Uncle: The roads here are all odd numbers, its 3, 5, 7, 9, 11.... I don't know where is 2...
Me: owhhhhhhhh.... *die*
V: errrr~~
Uncle: Do you have any friends that you could call? Perhaps they can help you~
Me: *hestitate* Umm, yeah we have, but.... Anyway, thanks yeah....
Uncle: Where are you guys going?
Me: Do you, by any chance know where is Rumah Hope?
Uncle: Yeah I know. You want to go there you say earlier lah, you tell me Jalan this Jalan that I dont know, but you tell me Rumah Hope then I know... *gives the directions to the place*
US: O___O ok. Thanks alot!!
    Sorry, irrelevant picture :D
Really, thanks alot to the uncle, if not we will be going round and round and round that area till night also cannot reach. Whoever named the roads and constructed that whole PJ area must have sucked in numbers. And planning. LOL.

Yeah! <3
When we finally arrived, they have already started playing games with the kids. :) They are still introducing themselves, so we were not that late and lost xD Everyone of the volunteers had at least one kid assigned to them, and the kids are free to choose for themselves. So sad though, none of the kids come running to me... I'm bad with kids :(

Don't know what to say more so, let the picture speak for themselves.

Playing Superhero game
The concept of the game is that every one of the child has a cartoon character or superhero,
and they are supposed to remember. When the blinds are put down, they are supposed to shout
the superhero of the person opposite. Extreme memory game that I suck at.
Both pointing at each other and guessing the cartoon character and superhero...

*At the same time* HELLOKITTYMICKEYMOUSE!!!

*guessing, guessing*

Girl in green stripes: Oh no I cant remember!!!
Girl in black shirt: *shouts the superhero name*

Girl: YOU NARUTO!
Boy: YOU MICKEY MOUSE!
can't remember who won.
Cannot remember the superhero, taking time to think.... hehehe
The side who loses the guessing game have to go over to the winning side.

No idea what happened, but look at the smiles on their faces. Totally worth it.
See, everyone enjoying themselves *heart*
Here is the replica of "Simon Says" game, where they have to listen to Michelle che che who is standing tall on the chair. hehe.
This game, I don't know how to describe, but alot of laughter.
Dividing the kids into two groups to play a different kind of "Rock, Scissors and Papers".
This is a super naughty and mischievous, yet cute boy. Hehe, he kind of pwned
almost all the guy volunteers hehehe...
Spiderman! I think he's the happiest kid that day...

Kai lee, Michelle, Me, Vernice, Xiaohui

It's the time to leave :( Nice knowing so many new friends there :)

Almost everyone there. *heart* Wish all the kids 'kuai gao zhang da', have a happy life. :)
The spiderman who pwned the kor kors. hehehe

The visit ended with a lot of photo taking. The volunteers who went to the visit. hehehe...
I am not the kind of person who would go on these kind of visits,
its not because I don't like to go,
its not because I'm terrified on how would I interact with kids,
its because there are so many strangers that I never met before.
I am anti-social like that.
But from the visit, I get to know a few friends,
and have been talking to each other almost everyday.

I never knew I would say this,
but it felt like I know them for very long already.

I would never, ever, ever go to sing-k with strangers.
Never in a million years of my life.
But, within the first few days knowing them,
we already had our first outing to sing-k.

hehe.

YamCha and sharing session after the visit.

So, that basically sums up my visit to a children's home with Amoeba Team. Totally a better way to spend my weekend, because my weekends are usually wasted on assignments, playing games or staring at the wall on Facebook, or sleeping. Seriously, thank you Amoeba for providing this opportunity for me to do what I have always wanted to do.

If you, or anyone you know would like to join any of these outings, feel free to contact Amoeba Team through Facebook, or I can help :) hehe... They have at least a community visit every month *if I'm not mistaken* If you have the chance to give back, to do something good, to be able to enjoy your weekend with much fun and laughter, why not? And for shy people, don't worry, no one could be more shy than me... If I can do it, you can too... hehehe

I went home that day feeling excited and happy, and tired of course, and told my housemate about it. She just say why do I waste my time doing such thing. I beg to differ lor, this is not wasting my time. One point to salute the team is that, they have continuously been doing this for over a year already, and this is the kind of things that not many people would normally spend their "precious" time on. And some of them are working adults, which means that weekends are very important to them, but they selflessly spend it on doing community work. *Salute them for their effort and time, and also for making all this happen :)

PS: If you read this, thank you for surviving through this lengthy post, you rawk!

PPS: My kid that day was a 17 year old girl, and will be taking SPM this year. She don't look like 17 though *jealous* heheh... Anyways, I wish her all the best in SPM and I know she won't be able to see this but I still want to wish can or not? Hope she do great in her exams *heart*
